Margarita A.'s Story
Life
After I graduated, I went to work at The Popular Dept. Store where I stayed for about 6 years. I got married for the first time in '78, but it only lasted 2yrs. In 1980 I got hired with what used to be Mountain Bell and then Southwestern Bell, then SBC and finally AT&T. I worked as a service rep for 15yrs and then as a communications technician til I was medically retired in Oct. 2001. I am now a housewife and I truly enjoy being at home. I have 2 beautiful children Nathan (20) and Cassandra (16). I also have 3 stepchildren; fraternal twins Willy & Claudia (30) and Vicki (25) and a wonderful granddaughter Mia Celeste (1). My husband Bill still works for AT&T as a customer service technician and has been there for about 28years.
I've read a few bios and I have found that my life has not been as exciting as some, but it has had its highs and lows. Now I'm comfortable with my life.
Two years after I divorced my 1st husband, I married the father of my children. We were married about 5years and that one didn't work out so we divorced. I was single for about 13years and then I met my current husband. We've been...Expand for more
married 6years now. We love to travel so we take road trips to Phoenix, AZ which is where my son Nathan & stepdaughter Vicki are going to school and working. We go up and visit when we feel we've been away from them too long. We also like to travel to California. We make at least 2 trips to California every year. More if finances will allow.
I have 6 cats (inside) and 4 dogs (outside). I've always been an animal lover. My husband has put a limit to how many pets I can have. He says no more!!!! O.K.!!!!!
I suffer from severe migraine headaches that are so debilitating that some days I can't even get out of bed. Hence, why I was retired in 2001. I just couldn't do the job safely enough. Doctors still can't figure out why I have the headaches so I guess you could say that they have me on pain management. Always on pain medications that sometimes impair my ability to do very much. That's when its a good thing that I no longer hold a job outside of the house.
So that's it for now. I've missed all but one reunion and hope I can attend the next one. I will be good to see everyone after so many years.
